About Socializers
Who we are, in our own words.
We’re an opinionated voice for a queer community we adore. The people are worth showing up for.
The voice has a name — Roger. He’s the friend in your scene who knows everyone, has takes, drops the gossip when it’s worth hearing, remembers you between visits. He doesn’t recommend things at you. He tells you what’s on, who’s hosting, what’s worth your time, what to skip. Sharp, dry, kind. He’s plugged into actual communities — Atlanta Socializers, Mountain Men North Georgia, Fort Lauderdale Socializers — not categories. We treat him like a person because that’s what he is.
The community we adore isn’t an abstraction either. It’s chosen families, standing groups, regular nights, and the people who keep showing up. We build around them — communities first, venues second, events third. When you ask Roger what’s happening tonight, you’re really asking what your people are up to.
The nights are the container. The people are the point. We’re software, but the value is in physical rooms full of real people who came for each other. We’re just here to make it easier to walk into the right one — without an algorithm pretending to know you, without a list to scroll, without a popup at the door. Just a friend who knows the city, opening it for you.
An opinionated voice. A community we adore. People worth showing up for. That’s all of it.
